After a scenic drive through Sri Lanka’s lush countryside, the journey stops at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where visitors can see baby elephants being bottle-fed and watch them play in the River Maha Oya. Matches take place at leading venues such as Pallekele International Cricket Stadium or prestigious school grounds, with lunch featuring local Sri Lankan cuisine to keep everyone fueled. After breakfast, the group prepares for the journey south, with luggage collected before departure and a later check-in at their hotel in Hikkaduwa.

The first stop is a tea plantation and factory, where visitors can enjoy scenic views and learn how Sri Lanka’s famous Ceylon Tea is produced. The journey then continues from Kandy toward Galle, with an exciting adventure stop in Kitulgala. Here, the team experiences thrilling white-water rafting on the Kelani River, adding a fun and adventurous highlight to the day before continuing to the coast.

The day offers time to explore the historic Galle Fort, a beautifully preserved colonial fortress known for its charming streets, museums, churches, cafés, and boutique shops. It’s a wonderful place to experience Sri Lanka’s rich history and coastal culture.

Those who wish to explore further can visit a nearby cinnamon plantation to see how the spice is produced or enjoy nature at the Hiyare Rainforest Reservoir. The day can end with a relaxed guided walk through the fort, taking in the atmosphere of this historic seaside town.

The tour concludes with the final 40-over match, where players step onto the field fully prepared with the right gear and safety essentials to perform at their best. The journey includes a visit to a turtle hatchery, where guests can learn how conservationists protect turtle eggs collected from vulnerable beaches and care for the hatchlings before releasing them into the ocean. Visitors also get the chance to see the baby turtles up close and understand the efforts being made to protect these gentle marine creatures.

Later, the trip continues to Aluthgama, a lively water sports destination near the Bentota River. Here, the team can enjoy exciting activities such as jet skiing, banana boat rides, kayaking, and windsurfing, or relax with a scenic boat safari through mangrove forests. With opportunities for snorkeling and exploring marine life, it’s the perfect break from cricket and a fun way for the team to unwind together.

Guests will check out of the hotel in Hikkaduwa and leave their luggage outside the room for the bell staff to collect and bring to the lobby. After breakfast, bags should be handed to the bus driver before boarding the coach. Pickup will be at 9:30 am from the hotel lobby. Tipping hotel staff is optional.
