Morning is the best time to visit the Negombo Fish Market. This busy spot is a picture of organised chaos, with vendors proudly displaying seafood treasures like crabs, lobsters, shark, squid, and barracuda. You’ll also see fishermen using the ancient tradition of open-air drying, where freshly caught fish are laid out on large sheets to dry under the sun. As you walk through, you can weave between stalls piled high with the day’s catch, take in the salty sea air, and watch the lively bargaining between buyers and sellers. It’s a perfect place to capture memorable photographs before continuing your journey of discovery in Negombo.

1ST  ODI AT PREMADASA STADIUM| 12.00NOON – 10.30PM
ADMISSION INCLUDE (Approximately 1 hour from hotel)
Today’s match will be a full day under the sun. Keep hydrated with water and leave large bags or valuables at the hotel for easier stadium entry. A light refreshment will be provided during the match. The group will depart from the hotel at 12:00 noon and arrive at Stadium Gate 2 by 2:00 pm. After the match, please meet your guide at the same gate to proceed to the bus park. Dinner is not included, feel free to purchase a meal of your choice at the ground.

With no match scheduled today, set out to meet the gentle giants of Sri Lanka at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to the world’s largest land mammals. Watch them play, feed, and bathe in the river—an unforgettable moment that brings you closer to nature’s beauty. Lunch is not included, but you may enjoy a riverside meal while the elephant’s bathe. Afterward, visit the unique elephant dung paper factory to see creativity at work before returning to the hotel. On the way, stop at Kaju Gama to taste or purchase Sri Lanka’s finest cashew nuts.

PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE | 11.00AM – 01.00PM

After an approximately 2½-hour drive through the lush green countryside, we stop at the inspiring Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Established in 1975 with just five calves, the orphanage now spans a 25-acre property. Don’t be surprised to see baby elephants being bottle-fed or moving freely around the grounds — they are gentle and pose no harm. Watch these majestic creatures during their feeding time and enjoy the unique sight of them bathing and frolicking in the River MahaOya — an experience unlike any other in the world. For those who wish, lunch can be arranged at a nearby riverside restaurant.

Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling capital and a historic port city on the western coast, is a vibrant mix of races, religions, and cultures. The city reflects both the best and the challenges of Sri Lanka, with grand mansions, lush gardens, fine dining, and shopping malls side by side with bustling street markets and congested roads. Embark on a sightseeing tour of Colombo, taking in key highlights such as the Galle Face Green promenade, Dutch Hospital precinct, Fort Railway Station, a Hindu Kovil, Beira Lake, and Independence Square, experiencing the city’s unique blend of tradition and modernity.

2ND ODI AT PREMADASA STADIUM | 1.30PM – 10.30PM
ADMISSION INCLUDE (Approximately 1/2 hours from Colombo)
Rise with anticipation as another thrilling day of cricket awaits. After lunch, transfer to the stadium for the 2nd ODI, where England once again faces Sri Lanka. Feel the electric atmosphere—the chants of fans, the energy in the stands, and the passion that unites two nations through sport. A light refreshment will be served during the match. The group will depart from Colombo BMICH at 1:00 pm and arrive at Stadium Gate 2 by 2:00 pm. Once the game concludes, meet your guide at the same gate to walk together to the bus park. Dinner is not included, but you are welcome to purchase a meal of your choice inside the ground.

Today, with no match on the schedule, your journey flows from rivers to the sea. After breakfast and hotel check-out, set out to experience the beauty and tranquility of southern Sri Lanka.

MADU RIVER SAFARI | 11.30AM – 1.30PM
ADMISSION INCLUDED (Approximately 3 hour from Negombo hotel)
The estuary of the Madu Ganga River is a unique coastal ecosystem of mangroves and islands and may be one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka. A boat trip through this area offers a wonderful opportunity to observe hundreds of species of plants and animals — monkeys nibble on fruit in the trees, a water monitor glides slowly through the water, and cormorants, egrets, and kingfishers patiently wait along the banks for prey. The river and lagoon are dotted with around 64 islands, ranging from tiny specks with deserted shrines to larger islands home to 250 families, some connected to the mainland by very long footbridges.

TURTLE HATCHERY 2.00PM – 3.00PM

On the way, we will stop at a Turtle Hatchery. Local volunteers and visitors are welcome to learn about the dangers facing turtles both in the oceans and on land. Here, you’ll get an up-close look at numerous baby turtles. The hatchery collects eggs from vulnerable beaches, protects them from predators and poachers, and cares for the hatchlings until they are ready to be released a few days after hatching — a truly memorable experience.

6:30 AM – Departure from Mirissa Port Set sail into the golden morning light as the sea awakens. The journey begins from the scenic MirissaHarbour, heading deep into the Indian Ocean in search of giants. 7:00 AM – Whale Watching Begins Keep your eyes on the waves—blue whales, sperm whales, and playful dolphins may rise to greet you. Witness the world’s largest creatures glide gracefully through the deep blue. Bonus Delight – Turtle Spotting On the return journey, stay alert! The afternoon is yours to explore this charming town. If you’d like some structure to your day, there are a few options: visit a cinnamon plantation about 20 minutes outside Galle to learn how this famous spice is produced, or, for bird enthusiasts, explore the Hiyare RainforestReservoir, also around 20 minutes away. As always, your knowledgeable guide can provide information on how to book or access these optional activities. In the evening, enjoy a guided walk through this historic town, soaking in its rich heritage and vibrant atmosphere.

VILLAGE TOUR | 12.00PM – 02.00PM

Village Tour Sri Lanka gives you a chance to experience traditional Sri Lanka with all its authenticity. You will then move back to the village amazing traditional bullock cart ride or Tuktuk ride, traditional catamaran ride and be introduced to a local, traditional mud house Refresh your self who will give you a half hour cooking demonstration on traditional Sri Lankan cooking & and enjoy your lunch. Those with a sense of adventure can try climbing the makeshift “tree house,” used by villagers to keep watch and ward off wild animals during the night.

MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK | 02.30PM – 06.00PM

In the afternoon, you can choose to take an optional game drive in Minneriya, Kaudulla National Park, or the Hurulu Eco Park to see wild elephants in their natural habitat. Those who prefer not to join the safari can simply relax and enjoy the hotel’s comforts. These expansive parks serve as vital feeding grounds for elephants from the surrounding forests. With the guidance of an experienced park ranger, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to spot and photograph these gentle giants as they gather in the cool evening light. The parks are also home to playful monkey species, sambar deer, and impressive water birds like storks and pelicans. After breakfast, we head to Sigiriya to climb the iconic Lion Rock Fortress. A series of steps and walkways zigzag up the rock face, leading to the summit. According to ancient Sri Lankan chronicles, King Kasyapa built his royal palace here in the 5th century, with a grand entrance shaped like a lion. From the top, the palace once looked out over the capital city spread below. Today, this UNESCO World Heritage Site invites you to explore its fascinating ruins — from the surrounding moat and elegant water gardens to the terraced pathways. After Lunch, we take a short drive to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka’s medieval capital dating back to the 10th century. This UNESCO World Heritage Site flourished in the 12thcentury and is filled with remarkable ruins from its golden age. We’ll hop on bicycles and ride along flat, scenic roads to explore ancient statues, stairways, and columns. Along the way, discover temples, tombs, and stupas, and visit the spectacular Quadrangle — home to some of the finest Buddhist relics and ruins from a thousand years ago, when Sinhalese culture reached its peak.

On our 1½-hour drive to Kandy, we’ll stop at the Matale Spice Garden, where you can learn about Sri Lanka’s famous spices — highly prized during the historic Spice Trade. A knowledgeable guide will introduce you to the garden, explaining the medicinal and culinary uses of various plants. You’ll have the chance to touch and smell cardamom, clove, cinnamon, and even taste raw chocolate and vanilla. The visit also includes a free cooking demonstration and a 20-minute complimentary oil massage. There is an opportunity to purchase massage oils, spices, and Ayurvedic products as souvenirs. After exploring the spice garden, enjoy lunch at the Spice Garden Restaurant before continuing your journey to Kandy.

As Sri Lanka’s largest garden, the elegant and spacious Peradeniya Gardens covers 147 acres (60 hectares), so plenty of time is needed to stroll through its imposing Avenue of Royal Palms. The gardens are home to around 4,000 different species of plants and about 10,000 trees. Many of these are towering, mature tropical timber trees that create a majestic landscape.

TEMPLE OF THE SACRED TOOTH RELIC | 8.30AM – 10.00AM

Kandy is a picturesque hill town set beside a serene lake and is home to the Temple of the Tooth, Sri Lanka’s most sacred Buddhist relic. We begin with a visit to the temple during the daily ceremony. The Tooth of Buddha was removed from his funeral pyre in 543 BC and eventually brought to Sri Lanka in the 4th century AD. The temple attracts hundreds of worshippers every day and is open to the public, offering visitors a glimpse into Sri Lanka’s rich spiritual heritage. Next, we visit a sari factory to learn about these traditional garments, which have been worn in Sri Lanka for thousands of years. Here, we watch how silk is woven into rolls of beautifully coloured fabric, and there’s even time for some dressing up! The rest of the day is free to explore Kandy—stroll by the lake or take a taxi into the surrounding hills for stunning views over the town.

You will also visit the Gem Museum and Lapidary, where you can learn about the history of gem mining in Sri Lanka. TEA FACTORY | 10.00AM – 11.00AM

After the tea plucking experience, enjoy a short hike through the plantation to a viewpoint overlooking the surrounding villages. Then, visit a Tea Factory and plantation to see how the world-famous Ceylon Tea is carefully grown, harvested, and processed.

NUWARA ELIYA | 12.00PM
Once a favorite hill station during the British era, NuwaraEliya sits at 1,890 meters in the cool highlands and retains a charming British feel. Locally known as “Little England,” the town is dotted with colonial-style houses, hotels, and even a racecourse. The area is famous for its highquality tea, and later in the day, we will visit a working tea plantation to see how this worldrenowned tea is produced.

CITY TOUR | 12.35PM – 03.00PM

Step back in time and indulge in an elegant high tea at the historic NuwaraEliya Hotel, set in Sri Lanka’s lush highlands. Savor freshly baked scones, delicate pastries, and premium Ceylon teas in a charming colonial setting with sweeping views of misty mountains and rolling tea plantations. As the cool breeze refreshes your senses, this becomes the perfect afternoon escape into tranquility and timeless elegance.

Today begins with a breath of fresh mountain air as you hike the breathtaking Horton Plains, walking among misty landscapes and panoramic vistas. After returning to the hotel, the day transitions to the excitement of cricket with the 3rd T20I between Sri Lanka and England at Pallekele Stadium.

HORTON PLAINS NATIONAL PARK – 6.00AM – 10.00AM
ADMISSION INCLUDE (Approximately 1 hour from hotel)
We have an early start this morning and take a 30km drive south to Horton Plains, a large plateau over 2,000m high, overlooked by the second and third highest peaks in Sri Lanka. The scenery is beautiful and the best way to explore is on foot. We take a guided walk through the rolling grasslands where we hope to see such as the Sambur and Purple Faced monkey. We also visit ‘World’s End’ which is one of the most stunning sights in Sri Lanka where the ground drops 1050m to the plains. Following this we catch a train from the highest railway station in the country – within an hour and a half we drop from 1889m to 1097m. The train travels through the cloud forest into the tea plantations, with breath-taking views of the lush valley below.

3RD T20I AT PALLEKELE CRICKET STADIUM | 06.00PM– 10.30PM
ADMISSION INCLUDE (Approximately 1 hour from hotel)
Tonight marks the final T20 of the series. Please carry your ticket and ID, wear comfortable evening clothing, and bring only essentials. Light refreshments will be provided during the match. The group will depart the hotel at 5:30 PM and arrive at Stadium Gate 2 by 5:30 PM. After the final ball, meet your guide at the same gate to proceed to the bus park. Dinner is not included, allowing you to enjoy a meal of your choice at the stadium.

PACKING LIST: Today, you will check out of your hotel in Kandy. Please leave your baggage outside your room so the bell boys can collect it and place it in the lobby. After breakfast, check your bags with the bus driver before they are loaded onto the bus. If you wish, you may offer a small tip to the hotel staff.
